The Torromin has been designed and built for durability and ease of operation with minimum maintenance required. This system was designed as a scaled down version of the parent TVP800 system. This bench top model is intended for metal vapor synthesis studies in the undergraduate labs and smaller research organizations. This system has a footprint less than half the size of the larger TVP800. The electron guns operate on 1.5 to 3 Kw power supplies. This equipment is available with dual resistive sources as in the parent model.
As with the TVP800, the Torromin has followed with software control which provides the user a more stable control over the power supply delivery along with precise repeatability of the processes. The software provides for complete data acquisition, automatic processing and safety integration. The controlling researcher assigns user level access with passwords while maintaining the ability to have secure protected research results.
